Тема урока: «Австралия»
Тип урока: урок повторения материала и обобщения знаний и навыков
Общие компетентности, которые будут сформированы на уроке:

  1. Развивать иноязычную языковую компетенцию (способность обучающихся использовать полученную информацию в различных ситуациях, включая информацию для профессионального и личностного развития и эффективного выполнения профессиональных задач.

  2. Пользоваться иностранным языком как средством делового общения.


Формирование профессиональных навыков:

  1. Аккуратности;

  2. Ответственности;

  3. Добросовестности;

  4. Наблюдательности.

Цели урока:

  • Формировать у обучающихся основополагающие навыки и умения англоязычного общения;

  • Создать условия для осознания и осмысления учебной информации, ее применения в новой учебной и профессиональной ситуации.


Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

  • закрепить и обобщить знания обучающихся по теме «Австралия»;

  • расширить знания об основных фактах истории, географии, природы Австралии;

  • повторить грамматическую тему – Passive Voice, совершенствовать грамматические навыки и навыки письменной речи;

  • Активизировать употребление тематической лексики.

Развивающие:

  • развивать умения обучающихся анализировать и обобщать знания;

  • способствовать развитию коммуникативных умений (аудирования, говорения, чтения, письма);

  • развивать языковую память, логическое мышление, внимание, воображение, самостоятельность и самоконтроль.

Воспитательные:

  • способствовать воспитанию у обучающихся духовно-нравственных ценностей;

  • уважение и интерес к культуре других стран;

  • Воспитание профессионально важных личностных качеств.

Ход урока

I. Организация урока (3-5 мин.)

Teacher: Good morning boys and girls! I’m glad to see you/

Students: Good morning

Teacher: Theme of our lesson today is: “Australia”. The aim: The repetition of the information about our topic “Australia” and put into practice.

Teacher: Do you know anything about the first Russian who settled in Australia?


  • Possible answer: Peter Potoski? Nikolay Miklouho-Maclay and others.


II. Проверка домашнего задания (15 мин.)

Teacher: Now, students try answer my questions:

  2. Who visited Sydney in 1878?

P2 - Oh, it’s easy. Canberra is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Australia. It is the place where the federal government seats.

P1 - When was it built? How many people live there?

P2 - Well, it was built in 1923-1927/ More than 31000 people live here in the capital.

P1 - What is situated in the capital? What kind of buildings are there in Canberra?

P2 - As for as I know, the National University of Australia is situated in the capital/ There are a lot of government and historical buildings here, too.

(2 слайд) Pupil 1: I spent the most amazing moments of my life and forgot all my worries and enjoyed the natural wonders at that beautiful place called the Great Barrier Island. One of the most wonderful and the remarkable gifts of Australia is the Great Barrier Reef. This reef in Australia is the world’s largest. The Great Barrier Reef is known to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I visited the Great Bas, the major underwater attractions which includes the world’s largest collection of corals, mollusks, dolphins, tropical fish and birds, reptiles such as sea turtles and giant clams which are over 120 years old. I also tried the surfing activity and diving. It was a wonderful special moment of my life.

(3 слайд) Pupil 2: And I visited Uluru, the world’s largest rock mass in the Red Center. It is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Center. I was there at sunset and the view of the colour change was mysterious and magical. I took a lot of pictures. Look at them! They are wonderful!

(4 слайд) Pupil 3: But my great impression was Sydney. It was exciting to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and admire a panoramic view of the city. I also visited the Opera House, which is built against the backdrop of the harbor. In the Opera House there was performance of the famous opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini at that time. In spite of that fact that I’m not interested in operas, I enjoyed the performance very much.

(5 слайд) Pupil 4: If you know I’m interested in nature, that’ why I visited national parks of Australia. There was so much to see and explore in the Walpole Nornalup National Park. I was impressed by the glory of the wildflowers, the majesty of the trees and the world famous Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. I saw rare species of Eucalyptus there.

Among the interesting places to see in Australia is Kings Canyon, which is situated in the Watarrka National Park. It is 270 meters deep. It was interesting to investigate the areas around the canyon. And also there was so much to do: boating and fishing, bush walking and climbing. 



(6 слайд) Pupil 5: And my adore are animals. I’d like to see exotic Australian animals. My dreams came true. I saw kangaroos, emus, koala bears, and Kookaburras. These animal species are found only in Australia. Do you know the Kangaroo and the Emu are present on the Coat of Arms of Australia.

Our lesson is over and I want you to read the poem by Australian author Dorothea MacKellar about her motherland. (7 слайд)
